A winning team - Our key personnel

Ivor Campbell, Managing Director

Ivor is a native of North East Scotland. He began his career as a recruiter in 1987 with a generalist, multi-branch employment agency in Aberdeen. While working with this business he became interested in the potential of Search as a solution and joined a specialist oil and gas Search consultancy in Aberdeen in 1994 to learn from an experienced mentor.

A dalliance with the world of contract IT consulting, based in Glasgow and Edinburgh, followed during the four years to 2000 when the IT industry boom began to fizzle out. A return to Search with a start-up “dot com” (remember those?) was followed by the foundation of Snedden Campbell in 2001.

Since then, Ivor has improved and refined the concept of Search in the Life Sciences industry and brought on like-minded professionals to continue the strong growth of Snedden Campbell.

Ivor is married to Jen and they live with their three children in Callander, Perthshire. In his spare time he tries to come to grips with the intricacies of the Makotokai Karate style, rides his bike through the Trossachs National Park and disappears into the hills when he can.

Jennifer Snedden, Director

Jen is the Snedden in Snedden Campbell and was instrumental in the initial foundation and subsequent success of the business.

Born and raised in Glasgow, Jennifer moved to North East Scotland with her family in the early 1980s. Her career took her to London in 1986 and she spent ten years among the bright lights working in publishing, before returning to Scotland to manage sales for a major non-fiction publishing house.

In 2000 she decided to spend time with her young family and provided the capital to set up Snedden Campbell.

Since 2001, Jennifer has worked with Snedden Campbell at the heart of our research, marketing and business development activities.

Married to Ivor, Jennifer has many interests outside work – in particular she is passionate about designing and making stained glass.

Sandra Jack-Dempsey, Director of Operations

Sandra has been with Snedden Campbell since January 2005.

Originally from Edinburgh, Sandra’s early career was in the vibrant world of advertising working for agencies in Edinburgh and London.

A radical career change led her to join the police where she attained the rank of sergeant – after only four years – and served as an instructor and Staff Officer at the renowned Scottish Police College at Tulliallan, Perthshire.

Convinced that her future lay in people development she moved on to hold senior managerial roles in Personnel Development, HR and Business Development with a leading drinks business and a very well-known Scottish bank.

A move from Edinburgh to the more hospitable surroundings of Perthshire with her husband led to another career review and the successful move to Snedden Campbell.

Sandra focuses on developing the infrastructure, operations and staffing of the business. She has been at the centre of the development and promotion of our popular Talent Strategy service.

Outside the office, Sandra’s favourite pastimes include tramping the hills of Perthshire with her dog and visiting historic buildings.
